The William Bradford Huie Library, named for the Hartselle native who was a renowned mid-20th century American journalist & author, includes a collection of Huie’s works, documents, photographs & personal items. Huie (1910-1986) is most remembered for his coverage of pivotal civil-rights events as an independent reporter in the 1950s & ’60s. The collection is available to visitors any time during library hours and also is a stop on the Southern Literary Trail.
