Belle Mont Mansion

An Alabama Historical Commission site, Belle Mont was built 1828-1832 and is one of the state’s first great plantation houses. The designer is unknown but seems to have been influenced by Thomas Jefferson’s ideas and style.

Admission: Adults — $6; students, seniors, military — $5; and children 6-18 — $3. Group rates available.

Open for tours by appointment only. An appointment must be made at least two weeks in advance of your visit. Call 256-637-8513 or email wheplan@hiwaay.net to schedule a guided tour for your group.
